Cleaning Tips: How to use toothpaste to remove water stains on wood + More…

Do you have water stains on wooden, dull surfaces and dust on your favorite furniture? Don’t worry; there are tricks for good cleaning. Follow this guide!

  1. Eliminate water spots on wood

Did the spots appear because of the glasses on the table? Here is a simple and practical trick: apply toothpaste on the area, let it stand for 5 minutes and scrub with a clean cloth. You will immediately notice the difference.

Warning: colored toothpaste will not be effective; it is advisable to use white toothpaste. Also, do not rub too hard as this may damage the finish and the top layer of the wood.

  1. Shine the wood

The sweet almond oil is very effective to shine your wood furniture. Indeed, it softens the surface, repairs the wood and adds shine thanks to its fatty acid content. Here is the recipe:

  • 2 tsp of sweet almond oil
  • 2 tsp of water

In a saucepan, pour the water and oil and heat a bit. Make sure the mixture is lukewarm, not hot. Then pour it into a spray bottle.

Spray your furniture with the mixture and rub lightly with a cotton cloth.

  1. Thoroughly clean a wooden table

You don’t need to buy a product at the supermarket to clean your wooden furniture. To clean it naturally, take 1 dose of white vinegar and 3 doses of olive oil. Using a clean cloth, wipe your table. Olive oil will restore the shine to the furniture while the antibacterial properties of white vinegar will clean it perfectly.

  1. Dust your wood furniture

This old grandmothers’ trick is very effective. In a spray bottle, pour 5 tablespoons of lemon juice, 15 drops of lemon essential oil and 5 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix well, spray on a clean cloth and rub your furniture. Lemon is a very effective antibacterial agent that prevents dust from accumulating.
